Meet the Wedding Party
Maid of Honor
Ivy Ramirez LazaroIvy has been around to see all of my embarrassing phases and chose to still stick around. I could not imagine life without the organized chaos they bring. “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.” They are by far the most creative and artistic person I have ever met. I am truly blessed to be able to call this diva my best friend, my sister, and my maid of honor.
Bridesmaid
Karen Jacqueline“I’m the oldest sibling, a proud mom of three boys, obsessed with anything cow print, stars, and Sailor Moon. I switch between English and Spanish mid-sentence without even realizing it.” Although she’s quite tiny in stature, she has one of the mightiest personalities I’ve had around to motivate me.
Bridesmaid
Iris Venegas“I’m the bride’s older sister, mom of two, and a fitness trainer. Family means everything to me. Watching my little sister grow into the woman she is today has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. Being part of this special chapter by her side means more to me than words can explain, and I couldn’t be happier celebrating a love so genuine and beautiful.” I have never imagined this day without Iris by my side.
Bridesmaid
Denise VenegasDenise is my youngest sister and someone who shares and understands my spectrum quirks. We once tried to build a pool out of a cardboard box. She is working on getting credentialed and is soon to be a teacher. I’m very proud of her and always remember the days we shared a room. If she’s not answering her phone, she’s probably at a concert.
Best Man
Daniel AlejoI met Daniel on my first day of school in Kindergarten 2006. We’ve been basically inseparable since then. At some point, others at school even thought we were brothers and they were surprised when we said we weren’t. We decided we would be each other’s best man at our weddings a long time ago, and the time has finally come.
Groomsman
Jose DiazJose “Mushmellow” Diaz is my younger cousin. As Jose and I grew up in families with only sisters, Jose basically became like an unofficial brother to me. We once had a goal to figure out how to climb onto the roof of all the elementary schools in our area. We only managed to climb like 3, but it was really fun trying.
Groomsman
Eric MiramontesEric “Derek” Miramontes and I met in middle school in the library when I made a dumb joke that accidentally made him laugh. Since then, he has become one of the few people in this world that I could say truly gets me. He’s been through a lot with me, but he has always been an amazing friend.
Groomsman
Orlando BonillaOrlando “Nano” Bonilla is my younger cousin, so I’ve essentially known him since he was born. He also grew up in a family of only sisters like me and Jose, so me, Orlando, and Jose became a little trio. Some of the most fun I’ve ever had came from playing random games with Orlando on his old PS3.
